“Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him,  “So shall your descendants be.” Genesis 15:5

When Abram complained about his plight of childlessness, God brought him out one night to view the open sky. He was made to look at the stars. Now, what has that got to do with his complaint? The exercise was to help his faith which was already shaky. Two things are to be mentioned in this school of faith. The first is that God was working on Abram to create what he needed first in the spirit realm. Whatever is not located first in the spirit cannot become a reality on earth. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the Heaven (the spiritual) and the earth (the physical).

In addition to this, God was also giving a faith picture of the end product to Abram. Every night that Abram walked the street and saw the stars, he had a symbol of how numerous his offspring would be. That became his faith anchor. When you receive the promise of God, believe it; then parade it through your declaration. And because visuals make heavy impression upon the mind and tend to influence faith, look for something that will serve as physical evidence of what awaits you at the end of your faith journey. This is the reason you see some believers hang a model or a map on their wall. Give some expression to your faith today.
